Update: 5 XP after finishing Curtain Call. Thinking about pivoting into a Charisma build and subbing out Dark Horse for Leo De Luca. An extra action is probably better than a sometimes active +1.
So far I'm not tired of pulling off BackstabDouble or Nothing.
Warning: This deck is intended for a mature audience that wants to do a bit of everything and crit on demand. Much like its Final Fantasy Aeon namesake, this deck throws resources at tests to get the job done. It is a Dark Horse build that exploits Preston Fairmont's Family Inheritance to boost with several static boosts and pumps so as to reap the rewards of cards like Quick Thinking and Double or Nothing.
Mulligan: You want to find Fire Axe or Dig Deep in your opening hand. I recommend mulling hard for them, you really want to put Family Inheritance to work immediately.
: It's going to be difficult to gather clues without Winging It. Use Draw if you've need of it. Your main source of card-based draw is Take Heart. Use it on tests that you know you will fail, such as an Investigation test, so that after you fail you can play Live and Learn. Go ahead and commit Rise to the Occasion while you're at it so you can hit that coveted spot in Standard: +2. Suddenly it appears, not dissimilar to a bolt of lightning, a clue! If you want even more of those precious green tokens you can use Double or Nothing with Winging It to get two or four, depending from where it's played.
: AKA the Dump Stat, will be the easiest way to maximize the effects of Double or Nothing and Quick Study. It is possible to get up to a static boost of +3 with all of your assets in play should you see them all. Peter Sylvestre keeps you sane and Track Shoes allow you to speed across the board. Try 'em on with Double or Nothing! While you're at it, try Backstab with Double or Nothing too.
Economy: Even after you get Dark Horse in play you're going to want to take the resource every Upkeep; you'll almost always have a use for it. With Lone Wolf you'll have access to 6 resources on your turn to fritter away on Fire Axe or Dig Deep so you can trigger your skill combos.
