In short, this deck is designed to ensure that Roland excels in combat, and at investigating (and/or acquiring clues).
Investigation and clue acquisition are enhanced by: Evidence!, Working a Hunch, Deduction, Seeking Answers, and Magnifying Glass.
Roland's effectiveness in combat is improved by: Roland's .38 Special, .45 Automatic, Machete, Beat Cop, Vicious Blow, and Dodge.
Obviously, occasions will arise in which Roland needs to pass a Will or Agility test. To that end I have included: Guts, Manual Dexterity, Unexpected Courage, Hyperawareness, and Physical Training.

I say flashlight over magnifying glass since Roland is short on hands usually.
I say cut at least one manual dexterity because its not really needed and unexpected courage fulfills that. You don't like running overpowered? Definitely would cut both talents because you need to pay for weapons and beat cop . No way you can afford 1 or 2 resources for just one skill test.
