Deck Theory: I like to build decks but don't get a lot of time to play them, so instead of leaving them to go stale in my private collection I'm publishing this with the caveat that this deck is untested and may not survive contact with a campaign!
The Idea
I've been wanting to run Lily with an Enchanted Dragon Pole for a while, but have been playing more flexible and Seeker roles for my last few campaigns. For my imminent run at The Scarlet Keys I was determined to play some kind of fighter so built this. I'm expecting to be playing alongside Norman and Trish, who will likely be able to cover the clues between them.
The Plan
Find your Dragon Pole and fight with it! To support that, cards such as Prepared for the Worst, Glory and the neutral skills should help find it, while Brand of Cthugha and Talisman of Protection should power it up. Brand of Cthugha, Spectral Razor and Sweeping Kick should provide a few options while you search.
Emergency Cache and Voice of Ra should help pay for everything (although the deck ought to be fairly cheap to run), encounter support is largely covered by the skill selection, Talisman of Protection and Meditative Trance should help smooth off the damage from In the Thick of It, and since the deck wants a bunch more XP to start with Delve Too Deep might help get that going a little faster.
Opening hand probably involves a hard mulligan for Dragon Pole, although the other draw and fight options might not be so bad to keep.
The Extended plan
Since the aim of the deck involves using an Enchanted Dragon Pole as much as possible, the early upgrade plan involved finding it and then enchanting it.
- Stick to the Plan is there to make it easier to find and afford your Dragon Pole (with Prepared for the Worst, Emergency Cache, and Defensive Stance as a backup fight option)
- Enchant Weapon is the other key to the deck. This could go before Stick to the Plan if you feel like it.
The rest of the upgrades seem like they make the deck better

Disciplines
I've opted to go -> -> . This deck uses for most fighting, with the being present to support this rather than depend on it. That said the discipline is the second choice to provide a bit of healing support. is the third, mainly as isn't a priority.
Clue Variations
If you really need to pick up some clues you may be able to swap Delve Too Deep for Drawn to the Flame, or for a clue spell like Sixth Sense, although that may not be so effective until the discipline arrives. Glory could become Evidence! if you think there are enough fight options, and Manual Dexterity could also be swapped for Perception.

Nov 21, 2022In my imagination the glowing magical pole looks way cooler in than a weird fleshy hammer! |
Nov 22, 2022For a main fighter I would want to have more weapons, and for the Dragon pole to work, more spells to power it. A pair of enchanted blades could fit the theme and at least 2 more spells. With 3 players' worth of enemies, you want to be able to fight at +1 damage almost immediately. How about a bandolier and Lily dual-wielding enchanted dragon poles? |

It was awesome getting two enchanted dragon poles onto the table though! |
I like this deck but it is so hard to not take the hammer over the dragon pole.
