The main combo here revolves around Against All Odds + Double or Nothing. It allows you not only pass the most difficult of all tests but to reap benefits twice! Here's how an ideal combo looks like: Find a difficult test, bump the difficulty by +4 with two Drawing Thin, commit Double or Nothing and play Against All Odds to reveal all tokens in the chaos bag and choose to pay for an auto-pass. Say you combo on any test of 5 difficulty with all pieces on the table and in hand, the test becomes 18 vs your 2, meaning you'll usually draw an entire bag. Even with Double or Nothing after a single Drawing Thin on a test of 4 you have reasonable chances to auto-win.
Sure, full combo can be done only twice per game, since you don't get to return Double or Nothing, but even without the combo the deck is functional as it utilizes standard Smaug approach, based on Lone Wolf+Drawing Thin+Well Connected+Money Talks, and supported by Leo De Luca to helps us stash those easy unspent money every turn.
Don't forget Drawing Thin also wonderfully comboes with Take Heart
Fire Axe is a necessary evil to be able to get rid of some pesky enemies or contribute during boss fights. Sure the damage is not great, when you're sitting on cash, but at least it's reliable.
The rest of the deck either helps you out in tough times: Elusive, Rise to the Occasion, or allows to pick up clues here and there: Flashlight, "Look what I found!", Intel Report.
P.S. The combo can be done even more beneficial if you include Daring Maneuver to turn on all kinds of win by X cards, but then you'll have to cut corners with the rest of the build and rely more on 2 big actions the whole game.
