This is my most powerful deck used in this game. I have played this build through The Forgotten Age.
So why is Akachi Onyele rather than Mateo or other investigator of ?
- Akachi Onyele has 5, and there is a -5 token in the chaos bag during the campaign of The Forgotten Age (standard mode). With 5 and the increasement of spell, the only thing maters is . Her Intellent is only 2 but there are almost no treachery card need to test . 3 and 3 are enough in most cases as you don't need to pass these skill test often.
- Her ability are really wonderfull for spell cards and Grotesque Statue, with Spirit-Speaker, playing only one copy of each spell is enough in most cases (but you also need take 2 copies). Also she is the most suitalbe person to take Seal of the Seventh Sign with 8 charges and can add charges with .
- Her weakness Angered Spirits has no direct effect, so it will not ruin all you plan when you knock into this weakness.
Cards Introduction
- Uncage the Soul can also save you resources, and at least it has .
- Fine Clothes is optional as there are not much bady assets to choose, and it is cheap to increase you Health and Sanity. Of course it will be useful when you need parley.
- Holy Rosary is also a cheaper accessory to increase your compared with St. Hubert's Key. And it will increase your sanity if you also want to start with 2 Arcane Research.
- I start with most cards in low cost and have four cards (Emergency Cache and Alchemical Transmutation)to get resources, which aims to save resources to use some key spells such as Rite of Seeking (cost 5), Seal of the Seventh Sign (cost 4) and Protective Incantation.
Upgrade Plan:
This deck is suitable for mutiplayer, and you could choose the copies of each spell you need to take depend on your teammates. If your team need more in fighting, you should take 2 Shrivelling and upgrade it early. It is similar to Suggestion(Evade) and Rite of Seeking(investigate).
The deck aims to pass most of the test with not doubt, so it will nead Grotesque Statue, Protective Incantation and Seal of the Seventh Sign(only be able to get in the last campaign in The Forgotten Age), which need a lot of resouces. The Chthonian Stone is also useful , but it will be a big burden if one deck include them all. And the more tokens you seal before you could seal , the more risks you have to reveal . As the -5 token is really awful like in most cases, I think it's important to seal -5 with Protective Incantation, at least your team could save a lot of cards to pass the test without -5 token.
- Blinding Light->Suggestion. She is almost the only investigator who suits Suggestion best. And this card has no punishment compared with Mists of R'lyeh.
- Shrivelling to level 3 and level 5. Level 5 will deal 3 damage, it is really powful but also with terrible punishment. So be careful to use it.
- Rite of Seeking to level 4.
- Guts/Manual Dexterity/Overpower->Grotesque Statue/Protective Incantation/Seal of the Elder Sign/Seal of the Seventh Sign. Grotesque Statue is used to avoid before you could seal it, which means you could pass almost all the test of spell without doubts. BTW, Grotesque Statue will have 5 charges with the ability of Akachi Onyele. Protective Incantation will cost you a lot of resources, so make sure you have stored enough resources.
- Book of Shadows, you will need the third spell slot when you seal -5 and to play another spell. And it could add charge to Seal of the Seventh Sign
- Fearless to level 2. The only card to heal horror of this deck.
- Arcane Initiate and Ward of Protection could also be upgraded to high level.
