Trish doubles Double, Double, and doubles again but more greed.

This is my version of the Double, Double, Double, Double Trish | 20k Series deck, with two changes aimed at taking advantage of two key aspects:

1) Lots of items for Backpack

Damning Testimony, Magnifying Glass, Crystallizer of Dreams, The Red Clock (2) — even The Raven Quill is an Item. Refine is a Supply card!

2) Early Adaptable, late Double, Double

The upgrade path of this deck aims for Adaptable once you add The Red Clock to change Dr. Milan Christopher for Eldritch Sophist. But why not take advantage of that transition by adding Backpack and Refine early, so you can find your pieces more consistently and get more progress on your customizable cards?

Yes, we still have the Crystallizer of Dreams, which benefits from events… but why not cut a few events temporarily until you eventually upgrade into Double Double?

This deck is extremely XP-hungry, so this is my attempt to make it a bit more practical across different campaigns. The only other change I find useful — and one that makes the first scenario feel a bit weirder — is skipping the two copies of Divination and skipping Easy Mark. Just git gud, take one goated Charon's Obol, and brute-force the Raven Quill. It works even if you don’t draw that single copy of Divination!

I removed Captivating Discovery and Working a Hunch. IMO Backpack is cheaper and has great targets and it doesn’t drop clues; I know that dropping a clue sometimes is okay, but we are not running Preposterous Sketches at this stage.

When you eventually get Double Double, you can use Adaptable to bring Captivating Discovery back, since the card becomes much stronger at searching that Backpack. And once Refine has done its job, you can swap it out again for Working a Hunch for another level-0 clue-gathering event… or even Ghastly Revelation for the final scenario — which is hilarious if you’re running Charon’s Obol.

Stay greedy!
