Thoughts after soloing Dunwich with Akachi

• Obscuring Fog on Base of the Hill. Yeah.
• I used to consider Holy Rosary and Emergency Cache to be essential cards for Akachi, but it turns out she can survive comfortably without them. Just two economy cards are sufficient and especially in Dunwich there are numerous other assets to soak horror.
• Spirit Athame is comparable to Grotesque Statue, not as powerful but more reliable. I found myself mostly using it to buff Rite of Seeking and finish off enemies.
• Recharge performed significantly better than I'd expected. Until there are 3 must-have spell assets for Mystics I think it can safely replace the Book of Shadows.
• 2 in solo is bad. It might seem as if this deck is overstuffed with investigation enablers, but it suffices just barely.
• Why save Professor Warren Rice? Mostly because of his passive bonus. Remember that Where Doom Awaits requires at least four checks. Getting both him and Alyssa Graham and committing some icons usually makes the experience much less hair-pulling.
• Why not keep The Necronomicon? Perhaps I should had done so, but I was afraid of adding even more chaos tokens. Those Shrivelling backlashes do add up. I figured the from saving Rice would be better than from The Necronomicon.
• It would had been excellent to save Peter Clover, but without Astral Travel nor other action or mobility boosters there just isn't enough time.
• Undimensioned and Unseen is famously difficult, but I still think it's a good idea to keep Delve Too Deep around until that scenario. In terms of XP surving one encounter card is usually easier than killing one Brood of Yog-Sothoth.

The Essex County Express: R1. 3 XP (Engine Car, 2x Delve Too Deep).

Blood on the Altar: R3. Akachi banished Silas Bishop! Zebulon Whateley and Dr. Francis Morgan were sacrificed to Yog-Sothoth! Dr. Henry Armitage, Professor Warren Rice and Earl Sawyer survived the Dunwich Legacy! 5 XP (The Hidden Chamber, Delve Too Deep, 2 bonus XP).

Undimensioned and Unseen: R1. Akachi tried to warn the townsfolk and convince them to evacuate! 3 broods escaped into the wild! 1 XP (Brood of Yog-Sothoth), 1 Mental Trauma.
