Hello friends,

I just whipped this deck up for a standalone tonight with the Mrs. as a duo, enjoy.

-

This Leo has seen enough to know he won't survive brawling like a younger man, so he is bringing every survival trick and tactic he learned being behind enemy lines in the war...

-

The concept is a very hard to hold down Leo (who notoriously cannot evade a sloth) that can take advantage of Springfield M1903, Marksmanship, Dynamite Blast, and Telescopic Sight to do regular damage to unengaged enemies and from a connected location.

To stay on the move you use cards like Cat Burglar, Elusive, Scout Ahead, Think on Your Feet, and Warning Shot -- most of which are modified by your old war buddy Chuck Fergus (along with Marksmanship, Prepared for the Worst, Dynamite Blast, and some other fun cards to consider in the side deck).

-

The deck lacks any real resource generation, although Faustian Bargain for efficiency, or Emergency Cache for synergy with Stick to the Plan, could be included instead of some tricks or tactics -- but in its current form, having the .45 Thompson with Well-Maintained (and preferably Telescopic Sight) should be a priority to regenerate resources and begin juggling the Springfield M1903. The Sleight of Hand, or swapped with Contraband in the side deck, could then be used to help with getting more resources to the table.

Also note that Chuck Fergus can make most of the deck free and with Warning Shot and "Eat lead!" from the side deck you generate resources with the .45 Thompson.

-

Let me know what you think. I'm sure ya'll can think of some cool synergies that I would miss and if you want a report on how its working leave a comment.

How did the standalone go? Did the deck perform well?

We ran Machinations through Time for the first time, so it was a little confusing getting the setup going but the deck performed pretty well.

I never saw Cat Burglar, Dynamite Blast, or Marksmanship which was kind of a bummer so I may have to give it another shot with some reworks.

I will say, from a flavor/fun perspective there were some awesome moments. I used a Warning Shot with my last round on a Well-Maintained .45 Thompson that sent a group of Satyrs running literally backwards in time and then dropped down the Springfield M1903 with a Telescopic Sight to pick them off one by one, staying one location ahead with my clue-getter. Imagining Leo lining up sniper shots through a time portal was def the kind of action I was envisioning when building this deck :P
