First attempt at building a deck with my wife. She plays Wendy Adams. Threw the card packs we had together but sticking with Level 0 until we can get through the first mission together (Roland keeps going insane haha). Leaned more towards the Guardian cards and gaining clues via fighting. Art Student is there to boost sanity as well as being one of the cards to give easy access to clues like Evidence, Working a hunch. If it bleeds also to help with sanity recovery, Seeking answers for those hard to get at clue locations. Emergency Cache to help get Beat Cop and Dynamite out. Leadership to help the wife out. Machete and Vicious blow to complement the 38. I think probably I need to add another weapon and drop probably Leadership or maybe not have too many cards fishing for easy clues. Inquiring Mind for example is a bit situational but 3 wild card icons to commit should come in very useful.
any suggestions? We have 2xCore, Dunwich and Carcosa deluxe and 4 of the Dunwich mythos packs (other mythos packs should arrive sometime)

Oct 24, 2017Fishing for easy clues is rarely the wrong plan, especially if there's no chaos bag involved. I would definitely pick up at least two more weapons so you can increase the chance you'll draw one at the start or soon after, before things get too messy. You haven't played a ton but keep an eye on how often you use specific cards. For me, I've played with "If it bleeds..." and Inquiring Mind but found that I never was in the position to use them. Some people love things that could be useful (situational cards, combos) but I find myself leaning towards things that will be useful. Also, keep an eye on card costs. The best rule of thumb I got was to add the cost for 1 of each Asset and All of each Event. Then ballpark having at least 20% of that cost in resource generators (you're at 31 out w/ 6 in the sweet spot). |

I also now have 5 XP to upgrade but am overwhelmed with the number of options available, every card is good!
