This deck answers one simple question that I think we've all asked ourselves at some point: "What would it look like if we made a deck in which every card was either a firearm or depicted a hat?" This deck answers that question, for the low low price of 29 XP.
Mausers
Hats
- Winifred Habbamock: Clearly the best hat in Arkham Horror, classic aviatrix attire. No doubts in my mind that Wini is the only logical choice for this deck.
- Delilah O'Rourke: A close runner-up in the hat stakes, this lady not only has a hat, she knows how to use it.
- Pickpocketing: This man has matched his hat to his clothing, and as such deserves inclusion.
- Sharpshooter: This is Wini! As such, best hat.
- "You handle this one!": This card is both very necessary to have any chance of handling heads checks, but also depicts the flatcap, which is the hat of my people (Yorkshire!).
- Easy Mark: Branching out into alternative hats, these hooded figures are clearly rocking their headgear.
- Hot Streak: I include this one for just the subtle hint of hat in the corner of the artwork. This makes us ask questions like "what does the rest of that hat look like?" Also it's almost Hat Streak.
- Pilfer: She's stealing a headdress, and that counts as a hat in my book!
- Sneak By: Wini is best hat, how many times do we have to say this?!
- Anything You Can Do, Better: Wini again <3
- Arrogance: This is a plane, and so I assume Wini is flying it, and so despite the lack of an obvious hat, there's clearly the inference of a hat.
- Cunning: Bewilderingly absent of a Firefly reference, but still, it's a hat.
- Daredevil: Aeroplane -> Wini -> hat.
- Hatchet Man: Not only does it depict a hat, it has hat in the name.
- Reckless Assault: Our second hood! This headgear is clearly keeping the wearer safe from the weather and the horrors that infest the fabric of our universe.
- Run For Your Life: Rounding out the list, one last hat. (You might ask: "Why not Unexpected Courage?" Because no hats, that's why.)
Basic weaknesses
The acceptable basic weaknesses for this deck are those that depict hats and headwear (thanks to Assussanni for helping with this):

Mar 01, 2021Exactly! |
Mar 01, 2021We really need a "Hat" trait, just so there can be a 3 XP card "Hat on a Hat" that allows you to have 2 hats. Or maybe the ally "Priest of Two Miters." |
Mar 07, 2021Great deck ! /tips her Fedora |
Mar 07, 2021Pilfer also depicts the thief wearing black knit cap, double win! |
To be fair, it's the 20s. The only reason someone should have for not wearing a hat is that they are in someone's home or it just got knocked of their head by an errant tentacle.
