Paladin Zoey
Who thought Zoey was just some kind of mental walking around the streets and stabbing at random people that God told her to?
In this version, we use a Zoey that smashes Solo or Multi with "Let me handle this!" instead of Emergency Cache, thanks to a combo of Willpower mostly to investigate and Combat to get rid of nasty stuff.
Fight:
To follow the theme, Zoey fights with her Enchanted Blade when there are multiple enemies or with her Machete. Vicious Blow helps to get rid of monsters faster, Beat Cop boosts your passive stat.
Dodge helps you to stay alive long enough to do your job and so is Smoking Pipe that balances out the weakness of Zoey, her Sanity pool.
Finally, extra cash coming from Lone Wolf or you passive can be used for Physical Training as well as Zoey's Cross.
Once you can buy Well Prepared, you can use it on Zoey's Cross or on the Police Badge for a solid skill bonus each turn depending on what you need to do the most.
Investigate:
Using a combo of Sixth Sense for most investigation and Rite of Seeking for the last action of the round, Zoey is good at collecting the clues, especially thanks the passive brought by the Holy Rosary early game, piling up with Police Badge + Brother Xavier later on, bringing her to passive 7. To this you can also use Steadfast and Take the Initiative to increase your chances, or use your resources to pay the Physical Training.
Treachery
Most treachery cards being either Willpower which in this case is covered, or Agility that can be covered with Take the Initiative, Zoey is doing quite well.
Upgrades
This deck becomes more and more fun to play as you upgrade it, let's see here some possible upgrades:

Steadfast Blood Eclipse x2 - 6xp, Total 27xp
The combo of Brother Xavier and Blood Eclipse allow you to Sacrifice the brother like a real Paladin to fight the forces of darkness. This action allow you to perform a 6 damages attack using your , in this situation 6 passive +2 by using Well Prepared on your Police Badge

Jun 14, 2024Hey Economy should be covered with Zoey Samaras' ability and 2 Emergency Cache, but the deck is lacking draw. Not that draw has been any much better since the release of the deck, I would still consider including 2 Glory instead of, let's say, Dodge, and replace Lone Wolf with Empirical Hypothesis. Looking at the deck again, I would probably also throw away the 2 Physical Training, in favour of 2 Take the Initiative. This should solve quite some issues with consistency. |
I am currently testing your deck in the carcossa campaign. After you remplace the Scene of crimes you rely on drawing the sixth sense to investigate otherwise you struggle to get the clues.. And you don't run into economy issues when there aren't much enemies?
