Use Daredevil to find Double or Nothing or "Watch this!" if you don't have it in your hand.

You now have 22 Ressources to pay for all your expensive spells. I usually include one Hard Knocks to spend all the rest of the ressources, but you can use the favour cards or similar stuff instead.

If you have Dexters signatures from the novella I would recommend using them instead.

Molly Maxwell can search for spells in order to find Alchemical Transmutation.

She can also reliably search for Lucky Cigarette Case (only charm), Enchanted Blade (only relic), Arcane Initiate (only sorcerer), Bulletproof Vest (only armour), and Hard Knocks (only talent).

Great combo, I've been playing dexter for a while but had some ressource problems and will try this.

Side note, Arcane Initiate and Molly Maxwell can search for Alchemical Transmutation if you don't have in starting hand.

Although Daredevil might find the second copy of "Watch this!", so you could remove the second copy to make sure (Double or Nothing is limited to one per test).

Wow. Well done. It was there in front of us all along, wasn't it? And this would work with Sefina, too.

To further Django's point, you can also burn a few XP on two Word Of Command to help get Alchemical Transmutation.

@DjangoI think it might be worth trying to drop one copy of "Watch this!" for consitency, but you loose the possibility to use the combo two times. I played varieties of this deck in about 20 scenarios and it actually happend a few times, that Daredevil found the second copy of "Watch this!". If I play the deck again I will give it a try. I would probably exchange the copy of "Watch this!" with Fine Clothes and then upgrade into Bulletproof Vest, which I forgot to mention in the upgrade recommendations.

Molly Maxwell is indeed fantastic in this deck, I played Dexter using his signatures from the novella, but did not include them here, because I thought most people probably don't have them.

@HanoverFist Thanks. I think the combo only got really good since we had the upgraded Alchemical Transmutation and Daredevil. I never thought of using the combo in Sefina. Good point. Now I will have to play as her again.

The combo is even more fun, if you commit an upgraded Guts and am upgraded Fearless. Now you draw four cards and heal four horror as well. Drawback: If you draw the tentacle you are basically screwed, because you just lost three ressources and four cards for nothing. Happened to me once and it rendered Dexter useless for a couple of turns...

Do you need to run the combo more than once? I'd ditch Alchemical Transmutation as soon as possible to free the arcane slot. Even without the combo or only Double or Nothing, you get plenty of ressources.

Jim Culver can also play the combo with Daredevil 0. A friend of me plays him and has ressource problems, maybe this helps. Not sure discarding half your deck but not weaknesses is such a good idea. Shining Trapezohedron might work better for her.

: This is true for all rogue combos. Not many ways around it. I guess make several small combos instead of one big or use some seal.
