This is one of my favorite multiplayer decks that I've played.

Played this through a 4 player standalone of the Murder at the Excelsior Hotel.

The other 3 players had the basics of the game covered, so I built this purely to tank the encounter deck while they went on their way. Supporting characters are my favorite way to play this game, so I had a blast and ended up easily tanking 50+ damage and horror through the mission.

I had 2x Ever Vigilant and 1x Custom Ammunition on Stick to the Plan for pure gas.

Step one was to get as many assets down and set up for Rookie Mistake. Ideally it was have a damage on Leather Coat or a horror on Cherished Keepsake and then try and have each other asset defeated or clean (no damage or horror) by the time I needed to draw a card, in order to minimize the impact of the signature weakness. There were many turns where I just took 2 draw actions and played an asset (you should rarely need to gain resources because of his ability).

Once Rookie Mistake is out of the way the engine is beautiful. Tetsuo Mori finds Leather Coat, Cherished Keepsake, and Becky for you. Becky never runs out of ammo because of his ability and with Reliable and Custom Ammunition you are at a +3 and dealt 3 damage to monster enemies. Scrounge for Supplies or Tetsuo Mori gets back the one card you lost to Rookie Mistake if you played it right and by the end you have 12 assets in your deck constantly cycling.

Also by the end, everyone else was fully healthy due to Solemn Vow and I was ready to keep tanking as much as I needed to. You don't really need to pass any encounter tests so you can Drawing Thin for 2 cards, take the hit, gain resources and shuffle the assets back into your deck, and then spend your turn replacing the assets with other assets that you just drew. Stand in the same location as an ally and use Agency Backup, Tetsuo Mori, Something Worth Fighting For, and True Grit to take all the damage and horror from your allies as well.

Just to reiterate, your primary function with this deck to to protect and intercept damage and horror, not to actually progress the game. I recommend a team who can carry you in those regards (clue getting and monster fighting), otherwise this will not work (don't try this in solo haha). You take all of the heat so everyone else can do their jobs better. If that's not your playstyle you probably won't have as much fun with this deck as I did.

Four ally cards, two of which are a copy of a single unique. Why do you need 2x charisma for this?

@Difrakt I don't "need" 2x Charisma, but it is fun to get out 2x Agency Backup and a 1x Tetsuo Mori. You could certainly argue against those and the 1x Relic Hunter to get 1 less weakness.
