Oct 16, 2018Thanks for the advice, was hoping that I could get Leo the BAR soon, i got the deck with it by accident when i got my stuff. What would you all suggest to help with resources and help with investigations? Thanks again. He rolls Thurs. night |
Oct 16, 2018I've played solo with Leo a number of times. In RtNotZ, and in Carnevale. "Watch this!" is great for generating money, combined with Double or Nothing it can possibly replace Emergency cache. While Sleight of Hand may not be great for your weapons, it extends the use of your flashlights. I personally find Decorated Skull excellent for generating money as well as card draw, and usually spend it on Physical Training. But others have had more to say about Lucky Cigarette Case, which you may want to combine with Daring Maneuver. I think First Aid in a gator like Leo is a bit useless since he thrives with a good number of allies. Specifically 2 Guard Dogs, and 4 other allies, along with Calling in Favors. Favors allows you to replay Guard Dog or even Beat Cop, if you need more soak. |
the overall idea is good. for true solo you need to be able to get clues efficiently and be able to deal with enemies. The second is quite within the decks capabilities, the first might be a bit harder.
Flashlight, evidence and perception do a good job, but for solo it might be a bit low. furthermore your investigator will probably be strapped for cash, making the hard knocks and physical training hard to use as you mostly will want those resources to put down allies or a new weapon. the manual dexterity is rather redundant, even with agility 3 you wont make many agility tests.
Other than that you might want to think about the upgrading of the deck already, Venturer is poor value for the weapons you have so far, as is slight of hand (slightly) so if you are going for a big weapon these choices are justified, otherwise might be cut for other cards.
Again, I think the deck will get by well. But think about what you want to do and build around that.
