This idea works really well, and doesn't require a huge portion of your deck space, although your XP has a very intentional direction.
Must haves at level 0:
In the Thick of It (mental trauma). And make your friends take it as well, along with 1 or 2 mental trauma.
Alchemical Distillation -Mending and Calming Distillates, and then I throw the third point into Perfected, and that and Refined are my next XP targets.
Refine, just to achieve the above faster before I throw it out.
2x Cleaning Kit, to become Cleaning Kit 3s. She's the only one who can do Alchemical and Cleaning Kit 3 combo, which is the basis of the deck.
2x Backpacks, because, you know.
Alyssa Graham or Alice Luxley. Pad that book, both for AD and to be a backup, still strong cluever.
I also put in St. Hubert's Key and eventually Relic Hunter, as double Cleaning Kit or Cleaning Kit with Hubert feels good. Pads her relevant stats. All other stuff is optional; I spend most of the rest of the deck having standard clue acceleration with a couple other tricks. Though I really benefited from having the Hallowed Chalice as a backup if I didn't find AD fast enough. It can do work, especially with Hypnotic Therapy, although that is just a fallback when I can't find AD.
Experience:
1) Fill out Distillation, as examined above. 2) Get 2x Cleaning Kit 3 3) I like Steady-Handed, especially when I have a spare XP to throw away. not necessary, but plenty of opportunity to give Carolyn a free heal and some money, as well as ensure, in bad token pulls, you always hit your Perfected mark, because she's exponentially better when consistently giving out two buffs. 4) Relic Hunter (see above) 5) Upgraded ECache, to throw onto a Cleaning Kit, preferably, or an AD. 6) Now we get into the truly "extra," where I'll get Stick to the Plan, mainly to hold the ECache, and a dynamite, which she'll at some point be rich enough to use, probably. and throw on an Ever Vigilant to get set up earlier. 7) Soul Sanctification. Just an awesome though unnecessary final piece, for late campaign problem solving.
I also had upgraded backpacks, but I think that's optional. I feel a lot of players would want them, though.
The weirdest thing about the deck is I don't care about Hypnotic Therapy much at all in it. I'd play it if I had extra time and money, but often I'm too busy using AD or getting clues. It tends to be a commit. which I know is not true in other Carolyn decks.
best deck title!
