For Drawn to the Flame's Labyrinths of Lunacy event in London in March.
Daisy is to be the 'clue getter' of our four, and we're lacking a guardian (!) so I figure she'll need to be a bit combat-ready. To do that, we'll go for Shrivelling, with Holy Rosary and Spirit Athame to bump her Willpower.
I've built a high XP, expensive deck that will rely on Dr. Milan Christopher heavily for resource generation. Key to setup will be Old Book of Lore; I'm hoping that it, Eureka! and No Stone Unturned will allow me to grab the cards I need for setup. We've got a couple of Research Librarians to make sure the old book comes out.
Book of Shadows is in as I've found that later in the game Daisy often doesn't need any more card draw, and being able to recharge Shrivelling or Arcane Insight would be handy.
Arcane Insight is there to allow Daisy to make investigation by other other investigators easier. Cryptic Research will be replaced by No Stone Unturned if Dim Carcosa is out in time...

Mar 16, 2018Yup, almost always. Spirit Athame uses a free trigger, though, so if you're engaged there isn't an Attack of Opportunity to use it at the start of your turn. That said, I do wonder if a second Uncage the Soul might be better - and it has 2 nice icons. |
For 1 xp more, isn't the encyclopedia almost always strictly better than the Athame?
