Thick Silas

Thick Silas is a brutal fighter, adept clue finder and damage soaking survivor. He's also an itty-bit traumatized. The main hook of the deck (if you'll excuse the nautical pun) is to build around In the Thick of It.

By giving Silas two horror right off the bat, you gain access to both: Reckless Assault and Desperate Search from the jump. You also have 3 experience to spend on Plucky which balances Silas's weaker traits.

Silas' sanity is saved by Cherished Keepsake and Madame Labranche who, when discarded, can be cycled back into your hand and into play with Resourceful. Further Health/Horror is mitigated by Bandages and Hiding Spot with Inspiring Presence healing and readying Madame Labranche.

Built to maximize on Silas' skill with skill cards, while being as inexpensive as possible. A key tenet of the deck is to have 0 to no resources at the end of each turn. This is done by spending all resources on Plucky (3) and Fire Axe throughout the course of each Investigator phase, with additional resources being allocated to play the low-cost cards in the deck:

Fire Axe Fight or Flight Hiding Spot Bandages Madame Labranche Dark Horse

The key combo here being Fire Axe and Madame Labranche, with resources being used to fuel Fire Axe, for +1 damage.

Otherwise, just enjoy the ride of playing and re-acquiring massive skill cards, while destroying the mythos with your shirt off!

Campaign Note: With your first three acquired experience, head right for another copy of Plucky. After which, the world is your briny oyster!
