ABOUT this deck & our game:
- 2-player game of The Circle Undone.
- We have all cards through TCU + Stella's Investigator Deck. We don't have any cards beyond TCU otherwise.
- Initial Investigators (Jenny Barnes & Father Mateo) were killed in Scenario 2.
- We are replacing them with Diana (this deck) & Joe Diamond.

CHANGES MADE from original deck to this one:
REMOVED:
- 2x Dodge
- Removed in agreement with modification recommendations by original author.
- 1x Prepared for the Worst
- There’s enough fight in the spell possibilities that I decided two copies of this for only 1 weapon was not worth it. Tempted to remove both, but leaving for now as a “just in case” and for some non- symbols.
- 1x Uncage the Soul
- Original deck had two, but modifications recommended replacing both with Dark Prophesy. I wanted to have at least one possibility to get a free spell out, as this deck has almost no economy, relying only on Upkeep and Diana’s reaction ability.
- 2x Inspiring Presence
- With only the Arcane Initiate ally, this card has minimal chance of being much more than a card for symbols, and I decided I’d rather have some additional cards to play into Diana’s ability.
ADDED:
- 2x Dark Prophecy
- Added in agreement with modification recommendations by original author.
- 2x Delay the Inevitable
- Added in agreement with modification recommendations by original author.
- 1x Drawn to the Flame
- The encounter draw is not as scary with the available cancels and Diana’s ability, and the deck needs something to help with clue-gathering.
- 1x Defiance
- And added ignore effect that plays well with other cards in deck & Diana’s ability.
But seriously, big thanks to @Yann for putting together a great deck to get me started on this! This was my husband’s and my first time having investigators killed early, and deciding to keep going with new investigators (rather than starting over entirely). I was feeling nervous about the decisions involved with getting a strong deck out that wouldn’t fully flop in a campaign already running. Your guide and build really helped ease that stress for me, and made this process so so much easier! Fingers-crossed we see success this time! Thanks for your time and efforts!
This is also the first deck I've ever published -- I figured I wrote up all these reminders for myself, I might as well throw it out there for others. Happy to hear thoughts on my changes, and if you choose to play using this deck, let me know how it goes for you!
