Hey guys, this is my first deck listing, so I hope I can do this investigator justice. Darrell Simmons is my favorite to date. and his ability to make test easy is crazy good. I wanted to show off a deck designed to gather clues fast and easy. with some optionally support. It is build around three cards. Quick Learner and Scavenging, along with Short Supply.
Short Supply is pretty simple here, it fuels Scavenging and helps thin out his deck better. Most people that like running it like William Yorick and Minh Thi Phan will have to content with discarding signature cards that they would rather not want to. Darrell's Kodak, however, starts in play, so he is already ahead of the game.
Quick Learner is a pretty interesting card. it makes the first test difficult, while making your last test easier. Reducing the test difficulty is what this deck aims to do, and Darrel is good at it.
NOTE: You could totally remove Quick Learner from this deck, and it still will perform decently.
Important cards.
-
Old Keyring ---> Old Keyring This card plays really well with Shed a Light to vacuum clues!
-
End of the Road ---> Eon Chart Eon Chart will give us a 4th action to investigate with, increasing the value of quick learner!
-
Unexpected Courage ---> Gumption These cards actually are the same thing, except Gumption will help trigger both Exploit Weakness and shed a light/old keyring.
-
Deduction ---> Sharp Vision Both cards are good, except Deduction does not synergize with Innate. and if it gets discarded, it's not worth getting back.
-
Lucky! ---> True Survivor Lucky is a good card, but this decks goal is to lower the test difficulty, plus true survivor will get back Resourceful, Gumption and Sharp Vision.
Key LVL 0 Cards
-
Shed a Light - A guaranteed 2 clues, 1 from your location, and another from any location is huge. that is some incredible value. of course, you have to decrease the difficulty to 0, but Darrel can innately do this, so it's pretty bonkers.
-
Schoffner's Catalogue- It's how we pay for the items, so we can spend the rest on events.
-
Resourceful - It's how we get back alot of are good events that we can't recur, like True Survivor and Shed a Light/Exploit Weakness.
-
Hawk-Eye Folding Camera - A Outstanding Evidence generator. plus it gives a much needed and .
I hope you guys like this deck, any feedback or ways to improve it is always welcome, thanks and happy hunting!
