Playstyle and Upgrade Paths
Unlike many decks that have breathtaking and showstopping core cards, this deck rewards incremental approaches.
Your scenario plan is to mulligan to a plan to credibly investigate. It's nice to have a weapon, certainly, but you can wait for them to turn up. An ally can help make sure you don't take damage while punching with THESE FISTS if it comes to that.
In general, the plan is to get to use a resource pool of 10-15 resources and static boosts to credibly pass each test you might come to attempt (even agility, in time).
Leo's deck is always coughing up body shields, so a Charon's Obol helps finance everything. Your first scenario might very well conjure an Obol, an Adaptable, a pair of Priest of Two Faiths, and the suite of Easy Marks and be successful.
Eye of the Djinn, Tristan Botley, Geas (in time, you won't want to commit cards anyway), Well Connected and Well Prepared all support the plan to pass tests. Ever Vigilant helps get these out on the board when you find enough of them. These are basically all available to you at the end of any successful scenario session, and I've taken this deck through most of them.
What did you need in the scenario you just played? Let that guide which direction you go. Adaptable in a Lucky Cigarette Case. Upgrade a money card. You'll get there in the end, steady on.
Leo means to gain a lot of efficiency during the enemy phase, where 2x Charisma allies are around to take the lumps that make it through the 2x Survival Knife. Depending on the scenario, the full kit of Bandolier and Timeworn Brand is a fine addition
Cards I Like
Consider Dario El-Amin in Leo. As a turn starts without an enemy at your location, if you have 3 resources on board, you can put him on the board with your ID and use his ability to gain 2. At this point, you have spent 1 action and 1 resource for a 2/2 soak with a good econ ability, and two very relevant static boosts as the game progresses.
You tell me how often a Priest of Two Faiths is not a free Dodge that puts 3 bless in the bag. The deck doesn't take a lot of steps to capitalize on bless, instead using them to make passing tests easier. Adaptable in a Rite of Sanctification if it makes sense for econ.

Have fun and let me know how it goes! |
Gonna give this a try - thanks!
But does not Well Connected have a limit of one copy per investigator? I'm a newb so if there is some exception to this for solo play, I am unaware of it.
