While not new to the game, I still am learning how to build decks and have decided to take every single investigator through Return to Night of the Zealot, one at a time.

First up is Roland. I've focused a lot on getting clues and killing quickly, relying on Machete, Beat Cop, and .45 Automatic to deal quick damage, along with cards such as Dr. Milan Christopher, Working a Hunch, and Deduction to get clues quickly.

Unfortunately, I've found that I'm discarding a lot of cards (this scenario LOVES to test my will and make me discard), so as I tweak this deck, I'll definitely look for some card draw, such as the upgraded Emergency Cache.

Any suggestions are welcome.

For the first upgrade, I went simple with exchanging out Vicious Blow for an upgraded version but I also took out one Dr. Milan Christopher and added Grete Wagner. Not sure how this will work as Grete is a higher resource cost, but she boosts both investigation and combat and allows for more testless clue gathering.

Once I can obtain more of the Carcosa cycle, adding On the Hunt will definitely help with the clue gathering.

I would suggest Dynamite. To kill all the named cultist in 3rd scenario. The worse you do in 2nd scenario, the better it gets.

that's a good idea. I've started over with some suggestions made and added dynamite to my starting deck. it helped in the first scenario too.
