So I ended up removing Fieldwork to make room for The Eye of Truth and Glimpse the Unthinkable from my last build.

We went into At Death's Door with 15 clues removed during setup. However even with this boon we were only able to trail one of the missing guests. I gave the poor advice of searching for a Silver Twilight mob that came with doom and we lost a round in which we could have cleared more rooms. We also drew 3 monsters in a row. The agenda was able to advance very quickly.

Unspeakable Oath (Bloodthirst) has been crippling in this deck. It simply does not have the ability to deal large amounts of damage. I thought that between Occult Lexicon and Occult Invocation it wouldn't been an issue, but I was wrong. If I drew this weakness again I'd add two I've Got a Plan from the start or maybe Vicious Blow if I was feeling reckless.

I was able to clear it once by popping an enemy with Blood-Rite, but I drew it a second time and got very sad. I've been trying to play to the theme of the card and altering my table talk and decisions if it's in my hand and that's been the silver lining to having this weakness. When I drew it the second time we were on our way out of the mansion and I decided I could get rid of it by failing an investigation check to spawn two Wraiths thinking I could kill one. I couldn't. I didn't realize the full ramifications of my decision and instead of gaining full xp from the scenario I took a mental trauma and got two less xp than everyone else.

The perfectionist in me is angry that I didn't plan my turn out better, but the roleplayer in me is delighted that I accidentally leaned into the heart of the card. So I took my xp and bought level 2 I've got a Plan. I really enjoy leveling up in response to the outcome of the scenario even if it's not necessarily the optimal pick.

I was able to use [Astounding Revelation](/card/06023) twice and I drew it only once so it's staying in for now. It wasn't obvious to me that [Research Librarian](/card/01032) pays for itself when the cards are used in tandem. It's great early game tempo.

[Take the Initiative](/card/04150) was great for the Mythos Phase, but I never used it with Amanda's ability. Something about this card compels me to find a use for it, but I still don't know what that is. It's Practiced traits makes it fetchable with [Practice Makes Perfect](/card/06197), but because it can't be used on others' skill tests it's not as great of a target if your fellow investigator needs help. I've had to retrain my brain and not obsess over whether or not I get the repeat effects from the skill cards I put under her and instead use my actions wisely and be content if I don't gain a benefit that round.

[Glimpse the Unthinkable](/card/05318) works well with [Astounding Revelation](/card/06023) if you want it out of your hand.

[Encyclopedia](/card/01042) got used down to 1 secret. I don't think the upgrade is necessary at this point.

[The Eye of Truth](/card/06325) was in my opening hand. It sat in my hand a few rounds, but then my partner drew [Your Worst Nightmare](/card/06038) during Upkeep. I shoved the Eye under Amanda as fast as I could and took all three actions to punch the nightmare away and then easily passed the test on [Realm of Torment](/card/05105) which I ended up drawing twice. That second use felt awesome. It almost makes up for losing 2 xp...
