You can play it from the discard pile because this card says "You may commit", meaning you can choose not to play it after revealing the chaos token, but still play it as a normal ability card, and in that case you can play it with Isabelle's ability (but before revealing the chaos token) — TTPsteam · 1 4/15/26

Arkham Horror works on exact words: the card specifically says you can commit it after revealing the Chaos Token ONLY if Timely Intervention was in your hand. In other cases it behaves like a normal skill, that includes if commited from the discard pile. There was specifically a rule about Wendy being able to play one copy of Easy Mark from the discard pile and one from her hand or viceversa through its reaction when she has her amulet equipped because her signature did specify you could play events in the discard pile as if they were in your hand. — HeroesOfTomorrow · 93 4/23/26
